In 1976 Randy got Bachelor of Science degree, graduating from Phillips University. What is more, in 1980 he attained Master of Arts degree at University of Central Arkansas. Also, Finley got his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1992, finishing University of Arkansas.
In 1976 Randy started to work as a high school history teacher at Ashdown Public Schools in Ashdown, Arkansas, United States. He held the post of a teacher till 1988. What is more, since 1992 Randy Finley served as an assistant professor of history at Perimeter College at Georgia State University in Dunwoody, Georgia, United States.
