This book shows how to deal with analytical problems commonly encountered in the design of foundations and temporary works, and also includes analyses of some other analytical problems, including lattices, grillages, and rigid frames. It includes a number of simple program listings, written in elementary BASIC and fully explained, to enable comparative designs to be reviewed, and more sophisticated computer output to be checked.
