Reika Okam was a novelist. Reika Okamoto became well known for his series of novels including "Twenty Eight Years Old" and others around 1908, written in a flowery style reminiscent of his master. In his late years, he wrote stories for the masses and housewives.
Reika Okamoto was born in Aichi Prefecture. he was the son of a Buddhist priest.
Reika Okamoto graduated from the Keika Middle School in Tokyo (1902) and became a disciple of Fuyo Oguri. He lived with Fuyo and was trained by him for several years.
