Mu, Ren Ho was born on May 4, 1944 in Hsin-chu, Taiwan. Son of Chia Yuan Mu and Yui Feng Lin.


Bachelor of Science in Sociology and social work, National Chung Hsing University, Taipei, 1971. Master of Arts in Sociology, North Carolina Central University, Durham, 1985. Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology, Kent State University, Ohio, 1991.

Chairman department youth and child welfare Providence University, Taichung, Taiwan, 1993—1999, graduate school head department youth and child welfare Taiwan, 1996—1999, provost Taiwan, since 2000.
