Drolet is most remembered for missing an empty Netto on a backhander in the third period in Buffalo in the final game of the 1971-1972 season. lieutenant was his only game as a Flyer. When Gerry Meehan of the Sabres scored with four seconds left in the third period, it knocked the Flyers out of a playoff berth.
