In 1977 Rhonda Gowler Greene received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Northern Kentucky University. In 1983 she obtained a Master of Education degree from the Xavier University.
Rhonda Gowler Greene was a learning disabilities teacher at the Goodridge Elementary School in Hebron, Kentucky from 1977 to 1979. In 1985 Greene became a full-time writer. She was a teacher at the Covenant Nursery School in West Bloomfield, Michigan from 1990 to 1993. Greene currently resides in southeast Michigan.
Rhonda Gowler is best known as children's book author and speaker. Her books have received various honors, such as School Library Journal Best Book, American Booksellers "Pick of the List," Children's Book Council Showcase Book, Bank Street College Best Book, International Literacy Association Children's Choice Book, Junior Library Guild selection, Michigan Reads One State One Children's Book Award, and also starred reviews.
