Career
After being traded the following season his final year in the QMJHL he played 69 games with the Laval National to lead the league in game played by a goalie. He was drafted in the 5th round, 85th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1977 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He played one season with the Milwaukee Admirals.
The following season he became a free agent and was drafted again by the Washington Capitals in the 1978 re-entry draft.
He would go on to play one season in the Swiss National League A in 1978. He returned to America and played six more seasons in the IHL with the Milwaukee Admirals and Peoria Prancers.
Once again a free agent the Saint Louis Blues selected him in 1982 National Hockey League playoff season. Rich leads Milwaukee in games played by a goaltender (285).
He wore jersey #57. In 1969 Sirois was the Goalie for the Local Search Association Montreal team that represented Team Canada as a Pee Wee in 1969–1970 Hockey Tour Exhibition in France.
The 119 tally does not include any possible wins from the 83-84 season when he played games for the Ads before Street-Louis relocating him to Peoria.
