The firm"s litigation practice is principally in the areas of securities class actions in federal and state courts, corporate governance litigation including claims for breach of fiduciary duty and proxy violations, as well as in prosecuting complex consumer claims, violations of federal anti-discrimination law and toxic tort litigation.
In those cases where we have served as either lead counsel or as a member of plaintiffs" executive committee, the firm has recovered sums approaching two billion dollars, often successfully advancing novel and socially beneficial principles. In this connection, we have developed important new law in the areas in which we litigate.
