Education
Rikizo graduated from Doshisha University and studied at Yale University and also in Britain and Germany.
Career
In 1890 Rikizo returned to Japan, where was appointed professor at Tokyo University. He was under the influence of Thomas Hill Green, British ethicist, and introduced his doctrine of complete realization of the self to Japan.
