Narrative account of the US Army Green book. The maps and tables of the original have been removed to make it readable on a Kindle. The original can be downloaded from the US Center of Military History in PDF format. This is a 'pocket version' that you can carry around with you. The US Army Green books, and the very similar HMSO official histories are essential reading for anyone seriously interested in the history of WWII. Unfortunately they are physically large books and rarely found outside academic libraries. The 'Kindle' editions although not suitable for research are aimed at getting these histories to a wider audience
