Rishikesh Upadhyay, BSc (Hons), MSc, MPhil, PhD, FSASS, is a multi-award - winning Indian writer and professor, chiefly known for his writings and teaching.
Dr. Upadhyay writes articles, short stories, research articles, children's, nonfiction titles, poems, etc., and has spent the past decade working and teaching in higher educational institutions. His works have been appeared, quoted and cited in several international journals and books.
Background
Rishikesh Upadhyay was born, grew up and lives in a small Nepalis’ hamlet, Bhanjang Basti, Haflong (also known as Bhanjyang or Bhanjung Basti), via Mahadev Tilla, just a few kilometres of Haflong, the district headquarters of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao), India. He was born to Indian nepali parents, Pitambar Upadhaya (father) and Nandakala (Bawni) Upadhaya (mother). His late father was in the Northeast Frontier Railway service and mother, a homemaker.
