Career
Was a physician by profession and served in the Shogun*s medical college in Edo. Is best remembered, however, as a bibliographer and cooperated with leading scholars of his time in developing the art. He is the compiler of Keiseki-Hokoshi (Bibliography of Ancient Classics).
