The start of Robert Gettlin’s career can be counted from about 1980 when he became an investigative reporter. Before the collaboration with another reporter Len Colodny, Gettlin worked for the Newhouse newspaper chain where he covered NASA, national defense, the environment, the military, politics, Congress, and other important events.
The ‘Silent Coup: The Removal of a President’ was published in 1991. In this volume, Gettlin and Colodny make several new allegations about the Watergate scandal that ended in the resignation of the United States President Richard M. Nixon in 1974.
The authors of the conspiracy edition considered former White House counsel John Dean as the main figure of the 1972 Watergate burglary.
