Robert Jamieson

Career

Jamieson built his legal career in Melbourne, becoming a partner of Blake Dawson Waldron and working on environmental, planning, property and projects matters. His practice has included energy and resources, environmental regulation, planning and development law, government-related work, and litigation before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court of Victoria. Following the firm’s transition to Ashurst, he continued as a Melbourne partner and became associated with the firm’s environment and planning practice, including leadership as National Head of Environment and Practice Head of its environmental law practice. His work has involved major resources, infrastructure, energy, transport and development projects, as well as environmental and planning disputes and rating issues. He has also participated in professional and public discussions concerning climate change, sea-level rise, greenhouse-gas storage legislation and public-interest environmental law.
