Achievements include experiments on Chaos and Dynamical Systems-Universal Scaling at Transition to Chaos; Hydrodynamic Experiments on Rotating Thermal Convection; discovery of new states and instabilities; two-dimensional turbulence and wake dynamics in flowing soap films. Recipient Fellows prize Los Alamos National Laboratory, 1991. Fellow American Physical Society.
