Deputational secretary Christian and Missionary Alliance, 1911-1913. Foreign secretary same, 1913-1921. Director Missionary Course, Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, 1921-1926.

Assistant home director China Inland Mission, 1926-1929, home director, 1930-1943, now home director, emeritus. Visited Christian missions in many parts of world.
