Barnes, Robin was born on March 1, 1951 in New York City. Son of William Alexander Barnes and Shirley Anna Mayer. He grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey and Wayne, Maine. Since 1980 he has resided in Davidson, North Carolina with his wife Ann Lee Bressler.
