Metalworker; 1906-1910 worked in Saint St. Petersburg, then in Moscow. Member, workers’ comt. Secretary, Board, Metalworkers’ Union.
From 1907 voluntarily worked as police informer. 1910 recruited as secret agent by Tsarist Secret Police. 1912 at Prague Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Conference elected Central Committee member.
1912, with help of Secret Police, elected Moscow Province Workers’ Curia deputy to 4th State Duma. From 1913 chairman, Bolshevik Duma faction. 1914, at insistance of the Police Department which feared exposure of Malinovski’s undercover activities in Duma, resigned from Duma and emigrated.
Expelled from Party for desertion (Malinovskiy’s connection with Tsarist Secret Police was discovered in June 1917). During World War 1 prisoner-of-war in Germany. 1918 went to Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and surrendered to Soviet authorities.
Tried and sentenced to death by All-Russian Central Executive Committee Supreme Tribunal.
