Worked as an engineer, Deputy Chief, and Chief Designer in a KB (Design Bureau) of the Institute of Aviation Industry attached to the Ministry of Defence. Stalin Prize, 1952. From 1971 Chief Designer at the Mikoian Aircraft Bureau designing Soviet MIGs and other aircraft. Lenin Prize, 1972. Doctor of Technical Science, 1973.
Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences, 1974. Lives in Moscow.
