Rudolph Helm was born on 4th of May, 1842.
Graduated from University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig in 1867, where he was taught by Carl Reinecke and Moritz Hauptmann.
Rupolph was taking part in concerts as a pianist. He had also worked as a teacher at Saratov's Dicosean Women's School and as a director of musical classes in male gymnasiums of Tambov. In the period of 1880-1887 Rudolph headed Tambov's branch of Imperial Russian Musical Society and assisted in local choir and string orchestra assembly. Helm is the author of numerous symphonic orchestra compositions, foreign plays and romance songs.
