Organized Tracy Loan & Trust Company, Salt Lake City, 1884, president, 1884-1933, Chairman, Board Of Directors, since 1933. Known as “Father of the Salt Lake newsboys” who for 40 years brought their school reports to him each month and received cash awards according to standing in school, also furnished Thanksgiving dinner to newsboys for 40 years. In 1882 accompanied General Phil Sheridan on trip of inspection through Wyoming and Yellowstone Park where he erected the Tracy Club House, on Snake River, presenting it to the Tracy Loan & Trust Company Active in Boy Scout work for whom he built $10,000 wigwam, also presented to the boys and girls of Salt Lake City the Tracy Aviary worth $25,000.
