Ryosaki Takata was born in 1882 in Fukui Prefecture.
He graduated from Mechanical Course of Tokyo Higher Technical School.
He entered Oji Paper Manufacturing Company (1907), made inspection tours of the U.S. and Canada (1922) and later of Europe and America (1926). Ryosaki Takata became superintendent of Tomakomai Factory of Ojі Paper Manufacturing Company (1931), lecturer of Hokkaido University (1931), supervisor of Hokkaido Hydroelectric Company (1936), senior managing director of Hokkaido Railway (1937), director of Oji Paper Manufacturing Company (1942), managing director (1943) and then president (1946) of Manchuria Paper Manufacturing Company and president of Tohoku Shinko Pulp Company (1947); continued in the same post after the company was renamed Tohoku Pulp Company.
