Ryuichi Yokoyama studied under the late Ippei Okamoto and achieved nation-wide fame for his slick and humorous drawings.
Ryuichi Yokoyama was one of the organizers of New Cartoonists' Society (1931), the others being Hidezo Kondo and Kon Shimizu. His comic strips Fukuchan and Densuke appeared regularly in Asahi and Mainichi newspapers.
