Ryuzo Koyama graduated from Law Department of Tokyo University.
After graduating from the university, Ryuzo Koyama entered Dentsu (Advertising) Agency in 1932. He also assumed additional posts of director of Accounting Department of Nagoya. He became a managing director of Nagoya Shimbun Hanbai Kaisha (Newspaper Sales Company) in 1934 and thereafter served as director and chief of General Affairs Department of Nagoya Shimbun. In 1932, when Nagoya Shimbun was merged into Chubu Nippon Shimbun (Central Japan Newspaper) Ryuzo Koyama became vice-president of that newspaper and later head of that newspaper. In 1947, he resigned. From 1948 to 1951, Ryuzo Koyama served as president of Clmbu Nippon (Central Japan) Printing Company and also became counselor of Chubu Nippon Shimbun. Before his death, he hold additional posts of chairman and director of Nagoya Baseball Club.
