Education
He graduated from Politico-Economics Department of Kyoto University (1918). He received a Doctor of Economics.
Career
Saburo Shiomi was emeritus professor at Kyoto University. He was appointed instructor, then assistant professor of the university.
Went to Europe and the United States (1923) to study public finance and statistics. Received his doctofate (1927) and was appointed professor (1928) and dean of the Economics Department (1936).
