Sadamasa Kanazawa was born in Japan. He was the son of Sadaaki.
Sadamasa Kanazawa was a commissioner of police when Yoshisada Nitta began his revolt, chief minister of the Shogun. Under the directive of Takatoki Hojo, chief minister of the Shogun, he was placed in command of one of the three armies that were sent to halt the rebels. Sadamasa failed to stop the enemy and was killed in the battle fought near Tsurumi, Yokohama.
