Background

Chansrinual was born in Amnat Charoen, Thailand, on October 14, 1967.

Education

Saenkom Chansrinual completed his primary education at Thaivichisilp school in 1989. In 1992 he graduated from the Poh-Chang Academy of Arts and in 1995 from Srinakharinwirot University.

Career

Chansrinual publicly presented his works for the first time at the 12th Contemporary Art Exhibition in 1995. From still life to this latest technics of acrylic painting, Saenkom has put the art circle into a new dimension. In 1997 he displayed his art pieces at the Contemporary Art Exhibition in Commemoration of 55th Anniversary of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Arts, Silpakorn University, which was held at the National Gallery, Bangkok.

Later he also participated at the "Life & Nature" exhibition at The Grand Hotel, Bangkok, in 2003; the 72nd Anniversary Queen Sirikit Exhibitions during 2004-2005; the exhibition at The Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, in 2007.

Being inspired by the breath-taking view of mountains, Saenkom Chansrinual created his new collection of artwork titled "Grand Mountain" to pay tribute to the majesty of nature and the celestial view from the top of the mountain. Using favourite mountain scene as his subject, he cleverly overlaid the acrylic paint which creates a 3D effect and therefore increases the depth of his painting. Chansrinual uses metallic colour to instill modernism.

Among his recent exhibitions have been the following: at Art Revolution Taipei (ART), Taiwan, and Art Melbourne, Australia, both in 2011; joint exhibition "Grand Mountain", Heesu Gallery, Seoul, and Art International Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland in 2012; one-man exhibition "Grand Mountain", Heesu Gallery, Seoul, and Art Tai Chung, Taiwan, in 2013.

Achievements

• Saenkom Chansrinual is a remarkable contemporary artist, who is notable for his artworks. Chansrinual has participated in many exhibitions and received several awards, including the Third Award - Toshiba Art Award in 1992 and the Thai Farmer Bank Award at the 12th Contemporary Art Exhibition by Young Artists, Bangkok, in 1995.
