Career
Originally from Joseon, Sakazaki helped Japanese army during the Japanese invasions of of Korea. He became a confidant of Ukita Hideie (宇喜多 秀家). After the war, Ukita took Sakazaki with him and welcomed him into his family and named him Ukita Ukyo no suke Naomori (宇喜多 右京 亮 直成).
He took part in the attack against the Uesugi of Aizu, and later in the Sekigahara campaign, he left Ukita"s Western army and joined Tokugawa"s eastern army.
After the war, he was given an estate in Hamada (濱田). 15 years later, he was also awarded lordship of the Tsuwano domain for his effort during the siege of Osaka.
Tokugawa Ieyasu also gave him a new name Sakazaki (坂崎).
