Career
Sakumatsu Yamamoto entered Daidd Trading Company and served at its Manila Branch. He became manager of the Philippines Branch of Taiken Sangyo Kaisha (Taiken Industrial Company) (1944). Repatriated (1946) and became manager and senior managing director (since 1949) of Amagasaki Nail Manufactory, Ltd. He held additional post of vice-chief of Foreign Trade Department of Amagasaki Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
