He was a graduate of the Crane Technical High School, he studied architecture at the University of Illinois, graduating B.S. in 1902.
Senior member of the firm of Oman & Lillienthal, Architects and Engineers, from 1922 until his death. In 1916 he entered the office of Samuel N. Crowen where he remeained as draftsman six years, afterward practiced jointly with Samuel Lillienthal.
The firm’s most important works, all in Chicago, comprised several hotels, a large apartment house on Marine Drive, completed in 1941, and various other structures.
