Education
After studying briefly at Doshisha he proceeded to America and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan College (1892).
Career
Upon his return (1896) he taught for awhile at Chinzei Gakukan in Kyushu and then at the 5th Higher School, Kumamoto. Was appointed the first director of Kyushu Gakuin (1910), in which capacity he served for 21 years.
