Sanzo Wada was born on March 3, 1883 in Hyogo, Japan.
Sanzo Wada became member of Hakuhakai Art Society of the Academy of Fine Arts and then went on to graduate the Academy.
His first recognition came when his work "Nampu" (The South Wind) was favorably received at the 1st Bunten (Education Min istry's Art Exhibition) and was awarded the second prize. At the second Bunten his Ikun (Smoldering Smoke) again won the second prize. After returning served as judge or government-sponsored art exhibitions starting with the 10th Bunten. He studied color and fonded Standard Colors Association. His other representative works include "Bi-no Gogo" (An Afternoon in a Bar) and "Umi-no Sachi" (A Gift From the Sea). Books include "Shikimei Sokan" (A General View of Colors) and "Haisholku Sokan" (A General View of Color Arrangement).
