He got early education at village Badra, Karab, Samkhera. He did Master of Arts in political science in 1972 and Bachelor of Laws from Allahabad University and stayed in Personal Computer Banerjee hostel along with his very close friend Doctorate.S. Chaudhry (Joint Commissioner Excise). He has been an advocate also.
Career
He was Modern Language Association from Gokul Vidhansabha area from 1980 to 1995 and 1996 to 2002. He was Minister of Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports Departments in Mulayam Singh Government during 1990-1991. He was Silk and Textiles Minister in Kalyan Singh Government
He has been an instrument in providing OBC job reservation for Jats in Uttar Pradesh.
