Sarvan studied at Government High School from 1950 to 1952. He graduated with First Class Diploma. From 1960 to 1963 he studied at Panjab University at the faculty of Microbiology. He received a degree of the First Class Honours Bachelor of Science. In 1965 he received a First Class-Master of Science. From 19*67 to 1971 Sarvan studied at Stanford University. he received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy in School of Medicine. Also, he certified in medical microbiologist.
