In 1916 went to U.S. and studied at Pediatrics Department of Johns Hopkins University.
Career
After returning home (1918) became professor of Tohoku University, received degree (1919). Appointed dean of Medical Department. Following retirement became emeritus professor of above university (1948). Elder pediatrist, he was written "Clinical Science of Blood in Pediatrics" and other books.
