A lyrical poet, he wrote the widely known "Song Of Mackerel Pikes."
He established his position as a novelist of romanticism with his "Melancholy In the Countryside" (1917) and "Melancholy In the City" (1921). His other works include "Okinu And Her Brother," "The Haughty Woman" and "Pranks of God".
