Sean Kane

Career

He trained in acting at Queen Margaret College now Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. In 2008 he appeared in British Broadcasting Corporation drama The 39 Steps with Rupert Penry Jones and Eddie Marsan. He also played the role of Sunny Jim in Para Handy in a new version, which was staged and filmed in front of a live audience at the Warehouse in Lossiemouth and is now available on Digital Video Disc. credits include: Macbeth and Peter Pan for the Royal Lyceum.

A Streetcar Named Desire and A Little Hotel on the Side for Pitlochry Festival.

The title role of Tam Lin for Alba at the Edinburgh Festival.

Achievements

• He has also appeared in The British Broadcasting Corporation soap River City and in the 2005 film, Night People, which won the audience award at British Academy of Film and Television Arts Scotland. Sean is founder of the critically acclaimed company Enigma which has produced three Scottish premieres: The Battle in the Hills/The Storm Watchers by George Mackay Brown and Our Boys by Jonathan Guy Lewis which opened at the Netherbow now named the Scottish Storytelling Centre and Four Nights in Knaresborough by Paul Webb which premiered at the Traverse in 2004.
