In 1935 got Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.
In 1940 got Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons.
Became member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1947.
Career
In 1942-1968, associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Grant Medical College. Honorary obstetrician and gynecologist at 2 large hospitals in Mumbai from 1966 till 1968. She worked at Poriya Hospital in 1970-1973 and at Italian Hospital in 1974-1982.

Membership
Segulla Aptekar was active in Jewish organizations in India, like Bene Israel and B'nai B'rith. She was included in the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She was president of the Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society.
