Career
After graduating from Tokyo School of Art (1907), took to sculpturing seriously and many of his works were well commented upon at the exhibitions sponsored by the Ministry of Education. Has also been a professor at Tokyo Art School and a member of Art Academy (1937). As a member of the Committee for Imperial Art Exhibition and Japanese Art Exhibition has been popular in art circles. Has an academic style and ms works reflect maturity. Amon,g his works are statues of Generals Yamagata and Terauchi, and others titled “Beauty of Health” and “Bansh5.”
