Seisei Matsuse

Background

Seisei was born in 1867, in Osaka, Japan.

Education

Studied poetry under Shiki Masaoka to become editor of the haiku poetry magazine Hototogisu in Tokyo.

Career

In 1901- was the chief editor of another poetry magazine called Takarabune and also wrote a regular column of poetry for Asahi Shimbun.
