Career
During Civil War served as commander with Red Army on Eastern Front, in Caucasus and Kuban’. 1933 first work printed. Wrote on Russian military historical themes.
Also wrote several biographies of V. I. Bazhenov (1937), 1. I. Polzunov (1937), A. A. Bestuzhcv-Marlinskiy (1938) and the Bulgarian revolutionary-poet Khristo Botev.
