Sergey Petrovich Tolkachev was born on August 26, 1960, in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
Sergey Petrovich graduated from the English Department of the faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology of Voronezh State University (1982), studied at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute (1991-1992).
Sergey Petrovich was a high school teacher (city of Ertil, 1982-1983). He was the correspondent of the regional newspaper (the city Ertil, 1983-1985). Sergey Petrovich was an employee of the district newspaper (city of Vidnoye, Moscow region, 1985-1990), the newspaper Soviet Russia (1990-1991), Soviet culture (Culture, 1991-1993). Since March 1993, he has been a lecturer, vice-rector for International Affairs, professor, and vice-rector for research at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute
