In this book, Sheila Pinkel describes a process of discovery which she had from 1971-1981 in which her exploration of the potential for the form of a glass dish led to a paradigm for the democratization of art at any historic moment.
Sheila Pinkel earned a Master of Fine Arts in 1977 from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Sheila Pinkel taught at UCLA Extension, where she has been since 1975. She received a Mural Award from Park La Brea Towers (Los Angeles) in 1976. From 1986 - 2012 she was a Professor of Art at Pomona College in California.
