Shibutsu Okubo was a composer of Chinese poems. His name was Temmin and his pseudonym Shiseido.
Shibutsu Okubo was born in 1767.
Shibutsu Okubo studied Chinese poetry under Kansai Ichikawa. Kansai, Shibutsu and Gozan Kikuchi, another disciple of Kansai, composed Chinese verses in the style of Sung Dynasty poets, rejecting poetry of ancient diction. As the result, composers of Chinese poems in the Kanto all turned to the Sung style.
