Shigehiko Yamaguchi elected to House of Councilors (1953). Made inspection tour of over 10 countries including U.S.A., England, Germany, Italy and Soviet Union (1936). He was a member of Tokyoshi Shonen Shokugyo Iinkai (Tokyo Municipal Juvenile Employment Committee) and member of Labor Control Research Committee of Welfare Ministry.
