Fujikawa, Shigeo was born on January 26, 1948 in Ibaraki, Japan. Son of Takeo and Kimiko (Nomura) Fujikawa.

Career

Research fellow Japan Society Promotion Sciences, 1976-1977. Research associate Kyoto University, 1977-1989. Associate professor Tohoku University, 1989-1990.

Professor Toyama Prefectural University, 1991-1999, Hokkaido University, since 1999. Invited professor Grenoble (France) University, 1996.
