Shigeo Kishibe graduated from Tokyo University (1935) and then went on to study the history of Oriental music.
Career
Shigeo Kishibe was a lecturer at Tokyo Higher School (1941), then professor to eventually rejoin his alma mater as assistant professor (1950). Among his works are "History of Oriental Musical Instruments" and "Studies in Far Eastern Music".
