Shigetaka Suzuki was born in 1907 in Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
He graduated from Kyoto University in 1929.
Shigetaka Suzuki became professor at 3rd Higher School in 1935, assistant professor at his alma mater in 1942 and professor at Wasada University in 1954. His representative work "Study of Feudal Societies" contains all results of his researches that he conducted upon the basis of the facts and theory established by the German historians. His other works include "The Formation of Europe", "The World and Humanity" and "The Industrial Revolution".
