Mr. Wang studied in Peiyang University. He also graduated in 1917 from University of London with Bachelor of Science degree (Economics and Politic Science) and finished his post-graduate work in 1920 at University of Paris, receiving the degree of Docteur en Droit.
From 1921 onward, Shih-chieh Wang served in The National Peking University for a period of seven years as professor of comparative constitutional law, later also as dean of the faculty of law. He was appointed director of Bureau of Law Codification in Nanking, China in 1927-1928, was a member of Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague since October 1928, member of Legislative Yuan in 1928-1930, president of National Wu-Han University in 1929-1934, Minister of Education from April 1933.
His published works include "La Repartition des competences dans les Consitutions federals", "A Treatise on Comparative Constitutional Law", "The Problem of the International Settlement of Shanghai", "The Legal Aspects of Slavery in the History of China".
