Shu, Shin-Ei was born on August 18, 1943 in Keelung, Taiwan. Arrived in Japan, 1973. Son of Kim-Pa and Ho-Gyoku (Lee) Shu.

Doctor of Medical Dentistry, Taipei Medical College, 1969. Doctor of Philosophy (honorary), Gifu (Japan) University, 1982.

Instructor Dental School, Nihon U., Tokyo, 1973-1974; director, N. Azai Public Dispensary, Shiga, 1974-1984; lecturer Medical School, Gifu U., since 1987; lecturer Medical School, Ogaki (Japan) Women's College, since 1982.
